Community do their bit for Children In Need!
The Community Team had a great day on Friday raising money for Children In Need with the help of the generous folk of Wakefield.
The team started out in Outwood, and visited businesses up and down Leeds road with Daddy Cool. The shop keepers were more than happy to Welcome in the team and have their picture taken with the Wildcats Mascot as well as making a donation to the cause.
After Outwood, the team jumped in to the Land Rover Defender, kindly provided by Guy Salmon Wakefield, and drove onto Ossett Town Centre, followed by Horbury Town Centre.
After a quick spot of lunch the team then headed back into the heart of Wakefield and travelled up Westgate and into the City Centre. Despite the cold shoppers were more than happy to stop and pose with Daddy Cool and do their bit for Children In Need.
Their final stop was at Abbots Fisheries on Doncaster Road, where Daddy Cool was asked to draw their Children In Need raffle which had 20 fantastic prizes.( See below for raffle prize numbers)
The total raised on Friday was £262 and the Community have their own indiviual sponsorship to add to that so they hope to push the total up to £400.
