Matty Wildie is another of the highly rated youngsters at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium, looking to make himself a Super League regular in years to come. A scrum-half or hooker by trade, the academy graduate played 17 first team games in 2011 as he made himself an influential member of John Kear’s side.

Wildie earned junior representative honours with England and was part of the 2009 under 18s academy winning squad. The playmaker was handed the captaincy of the under 20s and Nines team in 2012 and joined Batley Bulldogs on dual registration to further his experiences playing first team rugby under the guidance of his former head coach Kear.

The exciting pivot will be hoping to force his way into the Wildcats first team in 2013 where he is expected to have more opportunities.
