YOUNG WILDCATS MAKE IT TO GRAND FINAL

Wildcats Academy graduates Lucas Walshaw, Danny Cowling and Russ Spiers will head to the Halliwell Jones Stadium next Sunday with Doncaster to play in the Co-Operative Championship 1 Grand Final.

Danny Cowling is one of three Wildcats who could feature for Doncaster in the Championship 1 Grand Final.

The trio were part of the Dons side that defeated Workington at the Keepmoat Stadium on Sunday to set up a final showdown with Barrow Raiders.

Workington featured another Wildcats Academy graduate in Chris Annakin, but he had an afternoon to forget after being sent off in the first half for a dangerous tackle.

Both Walshaw and Cowling have featured in Richard Agar’s first team during 2012 as the club’s youth development programme has helped to nurture local talent ready for the Super League stage and they have also spent time on dual registration at the Dons.

It’s a programme funded by Club 1873, the Wildcats lottery which offers weekly cash prizes as well as twice yearly mega draws with a £2,000 prize plus daily prizes including a Total Fitness weekend family pass, a meal for two at Kashmiri Aroma and a £25 food voucher for Frankie & Benny’s.

Join for just £2 a week by visiting either the Ridings Centre Store, the Rapid Solicitors Stadium Box Office or call 01924 211611.

James Davey will also hope to feature in the Championship Grand Final which follows the Doncaster vs. Barrow clash after he played his part in Sheffield Eagles success in defeating Leigh Centurions to earn a shot at the title against Featherstone Rovers.

The Dons kick-off at 2pm with Rovers and the Eagles going head-to-head at 4.30pm with both games live on Premier Sports.
