WILDCATS TV: WE’VE NOTHING TO LOSE, SAYS COLLIS

Dean Collis says the Wildcats have nothing to lose ahead of entertaining Widnes at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium on Sunday evening.

Dean Collis says the Wildcats have nothing to lose in going for the top eight.

Trinity have been one of Super League’s surprise packages in the second half of the season after winning eight of their last twelve games to give them a chance of reaching the play-offs. Richard Agar’s men currently sit just one point and one place outside the top eight and Collis has told Wildcats TV the Vikings will be no walkover.

“It is definitely a dangerous game, Widnes are a good side and we’ve watched the last three or four weeks and they have improved as the year has gone on. We are approaching it as a big game and this week’s training has been spot on and we’ll be going into it all guns blazing so hopefully we can come away with the two points.

“Obviously with so many new players it has taken us a while to find our structure and for us to gel together and I think for the last five weeks we have really clicked and everything has fallen into place. I do think it’s a reflection of the hard work we have put in over the last seven or eight months and hopefully we can take that into the next two weeks.

“We won’t have much to lose because nobody expected us to make the eight at the start of the season and if we do manage to get there I feel we will be dangerous and hopefully we can shake a few feathers up,” said Collis.

That is just a taste of what centre had to tell Wildcats TV and you can watch the full interview HERE where he talks about the week off, his personal form, how good it is to be around Wakefield and much more.

There is a lot riding on the final home game of 2012 and the Wildcats are expecting a bumper crowd. Tickets are available from the Ridings Centre Store, the Rapid Solicitors Stadium Box Office, by calling 01924 201548/211611 or online.
