Wildcats centre Lee Smith has been speaking to Wildcats TV ahead of this Sunday’s home clash against Salford City Reds.

Lee Smith has spoken to Wildcats TV.

The former Harry Sunderland winner is set to make his third appearance of 2013 after recovering from a fractured thumb before the start of the season. Smith has scored a try in each of his two outings so far against Huddersfield and Catalan and will be aiming to continue that form into Sunday’s 3.30pm kick-off at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium.

You can watch the full interview with Smith HERE but as a small taster to his thoughts ahead of the clash against the City Reds, he says lessons need to be learned from the last two weeks.

“I think we’ve been unlucky the last couple of weeks but we’re looking forward to Sunday by getting back on our home patch and putting it right.

“We probably see them (Huddersfield and Catalan) as top five or six teams and took them right to the wire, and possibly should have won them both. The Huddersfield one, the decision didn’t go our way in the last minute, then the Catalan one we went 16-0 up and we shouldn’t be getting beat from 16-0 up.

“You have to learn from that and we have to kill the game off but we’re looking forward to going out and putting that right.

“Super League is that open these days that anyone can beat anyone and if you don’t perform on your day then you’ll get turned over.  That applies from the top to the bottom so we’re looking to put things right from our point of view and look what threats they’ve got and cutting them down to a minimum.”

Smith also gives his opinions on the events at the Salford City Stadium under the new ownership and with a more in-depth preview to Sunday’s home fixture on Wildcats TV.
