TERRY NEWTON ANNIVERSARY
Wakefield Trinity Wildcats would like to pay their respects to former player Terry Newton as today marks the two year anniversary of his untimely death after the hooker took his own life at the age of just 31.
It has been two years since the untimely death of former Wildcats hooker Terry Newton.
Newton signed for the Wildcats from the 2010 season on the conclusion of his contract with Bradford Bulls where he built on his success from his playing days with Wigan.
The 15-time Great Britain international broke through the Leeds Rhinos academy structure before moving to the Warriors in 2000 where he had success in a six-year spell and won the majority of his international caps whilst making the 2003 Super League Dream Team.
The Wigan-born star then moved to the Bulls where he successfully plied his trade before moving to the Rapid Solicitors Stadium in 2010. Later that year the world of rugby league was in shock as Newton took his own life.

On this day the club’s thoughts are with Terry’s family and friends on the anniversary of his death.
